Setting Up Call Tracking for Digital Marketing
Call Tracking – The process of using static and dynamic numbers, along with tagging a call with identifying information so you know which campaign led to the call and can attribute it correctly in your campaign reporting
Digital Marketing – Online marketing, instead of traditional print advertising or TV and radio ads, include pay per click, search ads, retargeting campaigns, social media, email marketing, and more
PPC – Pay-Per-Click, a type of digital advertising where you pay a fee per click on your ad instead of paying a flat amount
Repeater Phone Number – A phone number that includes repeated numbers or patterns making it easier to remember, for example 1-800-333-4444
ROI – Return on Investment, or how much revenue was generated compared to the cost of the investment
Tag – Custom attributes in Dial800 that are bound to each call record
Toll-Free Phone Numbers – Toll-free phone numbers are specialty numbers that can be called with no charge to the person making the call; although 800 numbers are the most common, Dial800 also has toll-free numbers with other prefixes including (888), (877), (866), (855), (844), and (833)
Vanity Phone Number – A phone number with numbers that spell a word that matches your company, product, service or brand, for example 1-800-Buy-Cars
